Today’s video is about our amazing stay at the Matsuzakaya Honten Ryokan and Onsen in Hakone, Japan. This is a traditional Japanese inn that serves a beautiful Kaiseki breakfast and dinner and offers a private Onsen experience in Hakone. If you are looking for the best private Onsen and traditional Kaiseki dinner experience in Japan, then I highly recommend this Ryokan in Hakone! Thank you so much to Shibata who looked after us during our stay! She was very knowledgable about the menu and explained all the courses to us! We loved the traditional Japanese multi-course Kaiser menu! The whole team was very welcoming and knowledgable about the Ryokan’s history, best way to use an Onsen, and the best places to visit in Hakone! ***This ryokan serves Kaiseki breakfast and dinner which is a traditional Japanese multi course meal. I emailed Matsuzakaya Honten in advance to ask if they could adjust my Kaiseki menu to be vegetarian and they did which was amazing! Not all ryokans do this so always make sure to check in advance! I booked the Matsuzakaya Honten Ryokan through Booking.com and you are welcome to use my code to get £15 off your first booking: 7C486051 This code also lets me get £15 off my future bookings and it is not an affiliate code! Our Arashiyama Bamboo Grove tour in Kyoto, Japan was a wonderful experience just outside the center of Japan's once capital and is definitely on of the top things to do in Kyoto. Located about 30 minutes from the center of Kyoto by car, Arashiyama is an area of peace and tranquility - it's the quintessential Zen escape from the hustle and bustle of Japanese city life. A lot of people also call it the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest (嵐山, 京都市). The Arashiyama Bamboo Grove forms part of the 3 pillars of must sees and dos when in Kyoto: the Fushimi-Inari-Taisha Shrine, the Kinkaku-hi (golden) temple and Arashiyama. It's quite simply a must, and a must that you will undoubtedly enjoy. Located in the mountains surrounding Japan's ancient capital, there is something cool and mystical about the place. Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's because Zen buddhism has a history here, but there's just simply a feeling about the place. Then again, this was one of our earliest encounters with Japanese culture and history and as such probably left a deep impression on all of us. After that we visited the Tenryu-ji (天龍寺, Tenryūji) temple. PLEASE NOTE, there is a mistake in the video and the place after Arashiyama is in fact Tenryu-ji. This Zen buddhist temple was built in 1339 by Shogun Ashikaga Takauji. Not unlike other Japanese landmarks, the temple was damaged by fire multiple time since then. Most of today's structure dates back to the Meiji Era (1868-1912). Adjacent the Tenryu-ji temple is the Tenryu-ji garden. Created by This is a marvel of Japanese gardens. Created by Muso Soseki, this is a marvel and hallmark of Japanese gardens. The beauty, the simplicity, the way nature is perfected by the hand of Man is an awe-inspiring experience, even if an introspective one. I realized after walking through this garden that Japanese gardens are not just gardens, they are a philosophy of life. After visiting Arashiyama, we ate at an AMAZING sushi restaurant, whose name I unfortunately forget! If you've never had sushi in Japan, it's really different! And Kyoto is also known as the birthplace of sushi, although back in the day the fish was fermented or marinated. I've been to Osaka, Japan a couple of times, but oh boy it just never gets old. We took day trips to Kyoto and Nara, won my first carnival prize, and ate our hearts out. Jap food all day man. This is a sponsored vlog with Sony Singapore, to showcase their Sony Actioncam FDR X3000R. I decided to go on a spontaneous trip to Kinosaki over the weekend. Located at the Japanese Sea, Kinosaki is known across Japan for being one of the best onsen places. Seven public baths can be found throughout the village. Each one being a little different than the rest. And the best thing? If you stay at one of the many charming ryokans you get an all access pass to these onsen allowing you to make the most out of your trip. At the edge of the town a ropeway can be found that’ll take you to the top of one of the many mountains giving you an incredible view of the surrounding area and the nearby Japanese sea. All in all, Kinosaki is well worth a trip. Next time, I’ll make sure to stay a few nights as I had to rush quite a bit to try and experience as much as possible within the limited time I had. Make sure to stop at Kinosaki next time you’re in Japan! :-D If you have any questions don’t hesitate to leave them down below in the comment section. I’d be happy to answer them. Hi beautiful friends! Welcome to day 2 in Tokyo ♡ It is without a doubt, that this was probably one of the best days of my life so far. Japan is simply incredible, and I am eternally grateful for all of the wonderful memories I made on this day that will remain engraved in my soul forever. In the morning, I headed over to Asakusa (the cutest area ever!) to visit Senso-ji Temple, the oldest Buddhist Temple in Tokyo. It was such an incredible experience, and the colours were just beautiful! We then had a little Japanese snack made of mochi, and the video pretty much describes how delicious it was :D For lunch, we wet to 8ablish, a vegan restaurant that was really nice inside, not to mention the amazing course we had of breads, soups and salads. Of course, we went for more food afterwards to a cute cafe called Elle Cafe, and it was the first time I had ever tried soy whipped cream! I couldn't believe this dessert was vegan :) After that, we visited the beautiful Nezu Shrine, which was so unique in its own way. I then ticked off another item on my bucket list, which was to walk across the Shibuya Crossing! I am so incredibly grateful to all of the beautiful souls who came to our dinner meet up at Nagi Shokudo, meeting you brought me so much joy! Staying at this Japanese ryokan (traditional inn) was truly incredible! Subscribe► https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxkF42nqXoZ0sZP-GqU-Cww T-shirts► https://migrationology.com/store/ JUNE 2017 - Yoshiike Ryokan - I paid 77,760 Japanese Yen (at the time $708.16 USD) for 1 night for 2 adults, 1 baby. It was very expensive, but it was truly an amazing Japanese cultural experience and the food was incredible. There are cheaper Japanese ryokans you can stay at, but usually they have a public onsen (Japanese hot-spring bath), rather than a private. Ever since taking my first trip to Japan a few years ago, I had really wanted to stay in a Japanese ryokan, which is a traditional inn, usually that is somewhere in the beautiful mountains, with a hotspring onsen bath, and delicious Japanese local food served in your room. On my most recent trip to Tokyo, my wife and I took the train to Hakone, about 1.5 hours from Tokyo in the mountains, and decided to stay at a ryokan for 1 night. The experience was truly incredible and our room was amazing, including a private onsen bath and amazing Japanese gardens to view from the window. JAPAN TRAVEL TOUR GUIDE - AKITA PREFECTURE In Akita, on the Sea of Japan coast in the northern Tohoku region, visitors can revel in Japan’s natural beauty. You can climb mountains, look over beautiful lakes and visit coastal towns. Soak in hot springs and experience the Edo era in the preserved samurai town of Kakunodate. Akita is leading the way in eco-industries. Though the region may seem remote to those in Tokyo and Osaka, Akita embraces diversity and welcomes the world. While you are there don’t forget to try the local ‘Kiritanpo-Nabe’ stew made with rice and ‘jizake’ or locally brewed sake (rice wine). If you are visiting in summer, check out the Kanto Matsuri (竿燈まつり “pole lantern festival”) held every year from August 3rd to the 6th. Hokkaido, the north of Japan, is famaous area for tourists. Otaru city, near Sapporo city, is one of the well known cities in Hokkaido. There is a Ramen sold over 500,000 bowls though it is small city. Here is the masterpiece of this shop, 'Hattchin-tei' (八珍亭). 'Dhal ramen' is very famous among the foreign tourists as well as the local people. Especially, among Ramen lovers from foreign country and tourists who study Japanese language and Japanese culture. It is only here in Japan that you can eat Dhal ramen. It is near the Otaru Station, about 7min on foot, and any other tourist historical attractions.

blog: http://www.ourawesomeplanet.com/awesome/2017/08/amazing-osaka-pass.html Osaka is home to over 30 plus attractions, making it a prime destination for tourist visitng Japan. From ancient shrines to streets lined with LED billboards, Osaka is a place with one foot in the past and the other in the future. One of the best ways to experience everything Osaka has to offer — is with the Osaka Amazing Pass. It was our all access ticket to some of the most wondrous and magnificent places in the entirety of Japan. Osaka Prefecture is one of the main prefectures in the Kansai Region of Japan (the other prefectures being Kyoto and Kobe). Osaka is the second largest metropolitan area in Japan and one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world with 19million people calling it home. Osaka has historically been a major component to the development of Japan as a nation. It was the center of the rice trade during the Edo Period earning it its nickname — "The Countries Kitchen". Today, Osaka is one of Japans major tourist destinations and is home to a vibrant nightlife as well as a being a hub for some of the best restaurants in Japan. In fact, many Japanese will contest to the food in Osaka as being among the best in all of Japan. Travelers to Osaka may appreciate its more laid back atmosphere when compared to the faster pace of Tokyo, and with a booming tourist industry and a healthy economy, you'll find plenty of things to do and see.

Going to hell in Beppu! Tour of the "Hells of Beppu": amazing Japanese hot springs with boiling water, a red lake, 100°C geyser, mud bubbles and more. SUBSCRIBE for more Japan vlogs and ideas for things to do in Kyushu. We went on a day trip from Fukuoka to Beppu on the Sonic Limited Express train (about 2 hours). From Beppu Station you can take the bus to the first 5 hells in the Kannawa district, then another bus to the final 2 hells. The hells we visited are: Umi Jigoku, Oniishibozu Jigoku, Kamado Jigoku, Oniyama Jigoku, Shiraike Jigoku, Chinoike Jigoku and Tatsumaki Jigoku. They're all natural hot springs, the same type as found in Japanese onsen. They really are so strange and unusual, and this was the highlight of my time in Kyushu. (^_^): *On Twitter: @SonnieTravels *On Instagram: @SonnieTravels Saga Prefecture is the smallest prefecture on Kyushu, but wow is it stunning. I hope I can do it justice in this video. It’s most famous for its porcelain and ceramics. This is an Omikuji a kind of Japanese fortune teller in paper form. You usually pay 100 yen or so for it. If you get the best one, you keep it. If not, you tie it up and leave it there. The spider webs were in all the bushes and trees surrounding the paths and even blocking some! Kagamiyama, or Mount Kagami, is over 930 feet tall (or about 284m) and this park not only has a temple, but also a lake full of koi fish, and plenty of walking paths all around. The trees separating the coast from the city act as a barrier to protect it. Around May, these terraces are flooded with water and apparently look spectacular as the sun is setting. There’s almost 300 terraces here! The geology in this area was stunning and reminded me of parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland. Nanatsugama Koen translates to Seven Pots Park. The sea in this area is usually really calm, but due to the typhoon we were treated to some amazing waves! You can usually take a boat ride from April to November down by these caves and into the largest one, but they were cancelled that day due to the rough waters. There’s also hiking paths we took and we saw a lot of people fishing. We raced against the sun to try and get to Futamigaura Beach in time to watch it set there. This area is technically in Fukuoka again and not in Saga and it was on our way back home. During certain times of the year, the sun sets directly behind the torri gate and between these two wedded rocks. The wedded rocks are connected with a shimenawa which is a thick rope made from rice straw. Torii gates represent the division of our world and the sacred world. They’re seen as entrance ways. They come in all different colors, materials, styles, and sizes. This was the perfect way to end this wonderful day. What do you guys think of Yusuke’s planning?

DID YOU KNOW Japan has bullet trains that can travel 320 km/hour? Or superior toilet seats that can heat up your butt, clean it spotless, and check your blood pressure? Or interactive robots that can serve you lunch, analyze your facial expressions and be your customer service agent in phone stores? I just finished my 6th visit to Japan, and every time I leave this country, I have a hard time comprehending what I just experienced. In this video, I take you around Tokyo and show you 10 ways that Japan is 10 years ahead of the world. Anyone else agree with me? Get info about things to do, where to stay, and the best food to eat on your visit to Tokyo, Japan. Here's the guide: https://migrationology.com/tokyo-travel-guide-for-food-lovers/ Tokyo (東京), Japan, is one of the world's greatest cities, and there's so much to do and see when you visit. From temples and shrines, to gardens and museums, you'll never run out of attractions. Out of all the things you could do, I've chosen a top 25 list for this awesome city (and just so you know food is my first choice in Tokyo)! 1. Ameya-Yokochō (アメヤ横丁) - A giant open air market that offers clothes, cosmetics, food, and restaurants and bars. 2. Meiji Shrine (明治神宮) - This Shinto shrine, surrounded by beautiful forest, is extremely significant. 3. Ryogoku Kokugikan (両国国技館) - Even if it's not fight season, you can go to the free sumo museum and eat sumo chankonabe. 4. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden (新宿御苑) - The garden is a beautiful attraction in Tokyo, with French gardens, Japanese gardens, and a green house. 5. Ginza (銀座) / Yurakucho (有楽町) - Ginza is a great area of town for upscale shopping and dining, while Yurakucho is famous for Izakaya bars and restaurants under the railroad track. 6. Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (東京都庁舎) - There are a lot of things to do in Tokyo where you have to pay, but here, you can go to the 45th floor for free. 7. Tsukiji Market (築地市場) - One of the most famous attractions in all of Tokyo is the Tsukiji Market (築地市場), the biggest seafood market in the world. 8. Shibuya (渋谷区) - With the busiest intersection in the world, Shibuya (渋谷区) is also home to shopping and restaurant. 9. Sumida River (隅田川) - At Tokyo's Sumida River, you can either just walk around the park and enjoy the riverside views, or you can take the Tokyo Cruise in a boat. 10. Tokyo Imperial Palace (皇居) - This is the home of the emperor of Japan. To enter the grounds, you have to make a tour booking on the official website 11. Ueno Park (上野公園), Tokyo National Museum (東京国立博物館) - Ueno Park is a huge public park in Tokyo with shrines, gardens and a number of museums. 12. Tokyo Skytree (東京スカイツリー) - They call it Tokyo's biggest attractions. It's a huge communications tower with various viewing decks and galleries. 13. Harajuku (原宿), Takeshita Street (竹下通り) - Famous for its street market and cosplay that takes place, this is a place in the city to see and be seen. 14. Senso-ji (金龍山浅草寺) - Visiting this temple is one of the top things to do in Tokyo, frequented by both tourists and religious pilgrims. It's the oldest temple in Tokyo. 15. Edo-Tokyo Museum (江戸東京博物館) - It looks a little like a UFO, but it's one of Tokyo's main museums, that aims to preserve the history of the city. 16. Fine Dining - Let's just face it, Tokyo is one of the best cities in the world for high class dining - atmosphere, presentation, food, it's all just stunning! 17. Akihabara Electric Town (秋葉原電気街) - If you love electronics and gaming, you're going to love the area of Akihabara. You'll also find those infamous maid cafes here. 18. Tokyo Stock Exchange (東京証券取引所) - Another free attraction in Tokyo is to be a guest at the stock exchange where you can see the Japanese Nikkei being traded. 19. Roppongi (六本木) - Home to the Mori Art Museum and a hotspot for nightlife in the city, Roppongi is an exciting area of town. 20. Odaiba (お台場) - This area of Tokyo is full of things to do like Legoland, and Palette Town, an indoor amusement park. It's also known as Tokyo's entertainment island. 21. Yoyogi Park (代々木公園) - Located next to Meiji Shrine, and just a short distance from Harajuku and Shinjuku, this park is popular for exercise and dance. 22. Nezu (根津), Yanaka (谷中 (台東区) - Tokyo is a truly modern city, but there are a couple places like Nezu and Yanaka that have held strong to their traditional and cultural roots. 23. Onsen (温泉) - You've got to strip down naked before you can enter a Japanese public bath. 24. Mount Takao (高尾山) - Just 50 km from central Tokyo, this mountain is popular for climbing and is a sacred religious mountains. Makes a good day trip from Tokyo. 25. Food - Finally, food is the reason I visited Japan, and I think eating is by all means one of the best things to do in Tokyo. Food is everywhere, and not only does it taste amazing, but the care that goes into Japanese cuisine is incredible. Thank you very much for watching this video that includes some of the best things to do in Tokyo. I hope it will give you inspiration to visit and eat through this amazing city. We were in Tokyo for 7 days, and vlogged our whole trip! This is Day 1, where we journey from Narita Airport to our AirBNB house in western Tokyo. It was my first time being back in Japan, my home country, in 17 years! For our first day, Marie and I were awake for about 21 hour straight. We spent many hours commuting... and were finally glad to check into our AirBNB in Hounancho, a quick 15 minute trip west of Shinjuku Station. Once we dropped off our bags, we just wanted to get out and eat some real Japanese food, and what's better than some authentic Japanese ramen! To answer many questions, no, I'm not Japanese. I am Korean-American. My mother is from Seoul. My father is from Chicago. I was born and raised in Japan, and grew up on U.S. Navy bases there. My father was in the U.S. Navy for 30 years, which makes me a certified Navy brat. ^^ To be specific, I was born in Okinawa, lived in Yokosuka city (elementary & middle school), and Sasebo city (high school). I left in 1999 after finishing high school... Hi dear friends! Welcome to day four of the Japan travel diaries ♡ I hope you are enjoying the vlogs so far! On this morning, I woke up in beautiful Kyoto, and visited some incredible places that I have always desired to visit, which I am so beyond grateful for. Along with a friend I made at my hostel the night before, the first place we went to was Fushimi Inari Shrine, a must visit for anyone going to Kyoto. It was absolutely beautiful beyond words! We then headed for lunch at Vegans Cafe and Bar nearby, a nice walk from the shrine within the local neighbourhood. After that, we caught the bus to Kiyomizu Temple, yet again another incredible sightseeing spot that blew me away. We also tried some delicious vegan Japanese street food, and it's safe to say I was in mochi heaven afterwards :) There is truly so much to explore in Japan, and it already has a piece of my heart. I hope you are enjoying your day so far, and I am sending my love! xxx Hostel: Piece Hostel Kyoto -------- ☆ FIND ME ☆ ⇢ 🌿Instagram: http://instagram.com/jaslipska ⇢ 🌹Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jasminelipska/ ⇢ 📱Website/Blog: http://jasminelipska.com ⇢ 🌸Etsy Shop: http://etsy.com/shop/theblissfulsoul ⇢ 🌼Weibo https://www.weibo.com/u/5628992708?refer_flag=1001030001_&nick=Jasmine -------- ☆ MY EBOOKS & RESOURCES☆ ⇢🌞Main Store: http://payhip.com/jasminelipska ⇢ 🌈The Blissful Soul Self-Love Workbook https://payhip.com/b/IKvn ⇢ 📔Recipe eBook: https://payhip.com/b/W7hH ⇢ 📙’How To Learn Any Language' eBook: https://payhip.com/b/cRGx ⇢ 📙’How To Learn Any Language Workbook’ https://payhip.com/b/XcWN ⇢ ⭐️Guided Meditations: https://payhip.com/b/pac1 ⇢ ⭐️Guided Meditations Transcript: https://payhip.com/b/aR3H ⇢ 🌺Free Self-Love Package: https://payhip.com/b/whnD ⇢🌙My Favourites and Things I Use: https://jasminelipska.com/2018/06/24/favourites-things-i-use/ -------- ☆ PO BOX ☆ Jasmine Lipska PO Box 8034 Oakleigh East, VIC 3166 Australia -------- ☆ PRODUCTION ☆ ⇢ 🎥Main Camera: https://amzn.to/2Ne6596 ⇢ 📷Vlogging Camera: https://amzn.to/2Khe1Zm ⇢ ✖️Camera Tripod: https://amzn.to/2KfBwC6 ⇢ 🎬Editing: Final Cut Pro X ⇢ 🎼Music by: Ikson (http://soundcloud.com/ikson) A Himitsu (http://soundcloud.com/a-himitsu) -------- ☆ EXTRAS ☆ ⇢ Self-Love Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkJzDVfcbAlOOJ_T8Kwdq-W2KUtRKeaoq ⇢ Korea Trip Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkJzDVfcbAlNlkmOnyIOBM-v0AdGWiLT4 ⇢ China Trip Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkJzDVfcbAlP3CckfRBuNXN_UO7cM-4xf ⇢ Singapore & Hong Kong Trip Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkJzDVfcbAlM3qTfXVnam4g5axOBRwdtK ⇢ Q&A Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkJzDVfcbAlP1Xf1cs3z4i82JaSIj65Uv ⇢Lifestyle Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkJzDVfcbAlPooC1A09KUsJXeHaYsWJ7V ⇢Languages Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkJzDVfcbAlMBmfFEwTMDfaWel97zkPjk ⇢ Daily Vlogs Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkJzDVfcbAlMVI8CQinsGMrtaxv0Z9PVn -------- ☆ OTHER ☆ ⇢If you would like to contribute to subtitles: http://www.youtube.com/timedtext_cs_panel?tab=2&c=UCSGJoUkoHBvXBWqlTk2h7CQ -------- This video is copyrighted by Jasmine Lipska ❤︎ #kyoto #traveljapan #fushimiinarishrine

Subscribe for more food and travel videos: https://goo.gl/9rfeRS When in Kobe, you have GOT to eat Kobe beef. We visited Nishimuraya a restaurant which is owned by a family of butchers. They are located in central Kobe (just a few minutes walk from Sannomiya train station). We visited at lunch time and ate the yakiniku set lunch which was incredible value. All set lunches come with rice, miso soup, a side dish and salad. Our lunch set of included Kobe short rib and premium Kobe beef. It was amazing getting to sample Kobe beef in Kobe. After an incredible lunch we visit Nada which is a primary sake producing region of Japan. We visit Hakutsuru and Fukuju brewery. Hakutsuru had a museum with English videos and an English pamphlet which explained the sake making process. There are a number of breweries in the Nada area all of which are within walking distance of each other. We also visit Chinatown in Kobe which is said to be the second biggest Chinatown in Japan. It's a little bit quiet and although there's lots of food on offer, there's nothing really that appeals. We traveled to Kobe on a day trip from Osaka. It's only 30 minutes or so on the train and it's a really cheap and easy trip. Totally worth it to eat amazing Kobe beef. The Kobe beef restaurant we ate at was called Nishimuraya: www.kobe-nishimuraya.com We hope we've inspired you to eat and explore like a traveler, not a tourist.
