How to Deal with MEAN GIRLS and BULLYING: TEEN EDITION | Ask Kimberly
Latest Upload: "I thought I was going to die...." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTACbgdX0t0 --~-- Have any of you had to deal with MEAN GIRLS in high school? In this week's Ask Kimberly video, I was inspired by Niki & Gabi, Tiffany Ma, and Alisha Marie to give you my own perspective and some hacks on how to deal with mean girls. Mean girl behaviour is absolutely NOT OK, and even though we all deal with it, it should be stopped, and bullying is absolutely not acceptable. In this video I share with you guys a personal experience of dealing with mean girls in high school, and similar to the movie mean girls, it was not pleasant :-( Hope you'll share your mean girl/bullying stories in the comments below, so that you can gain support if this is happening to you. Hello everybody. I hope you’re all having an amazing week. So, mean girls. I feel like every girl in the world has had to deal with the mean girl at some point in their life. I dealt with mean girls big time in highschool. They just do some really cruel things. They can cause like emotional damage, and stress, and all kinds of headaches and chaos that you just don’t need in your life. In today’s video, as a relationship therapist, I’m going to give you guys the top tips that I have learned on how to deal with mean girls, how to get them to back off and leave you alone so that you can have the best possible experience in your life that you can. If you guys are new to Ask Kimberly, don’t forget to hit the big subscribe button down below, and come and follow me on social media because my latest give away is for the Ariana Grande perfume Sweet Like Candy. This perfume is so nice guys. I’ve been testing it out for the last couple of weeks, and, guys, this perfume, it’s actually perfect. It smells just like marshmallows. It’s like a nice scent. It’s not too strong but it kind of stays on all day, so you always kind of leaving this #[01:20] beautiful scent behind you. I think the scent is like so important for relationships. If you want to be entered in the giveaway all you have to do is be subscribed to Ask Kimberly here on YouTube, and follow me on Instagram here. Now I know you guys are waiting, let’s get right into this video. Number one is “Ditch the drama.” Ditch the drama is about actually walking away or actually just ignore them when they do something totally mean to you, okay. Mean girls actually thrive on drama, they want to see how you react, to like when they’re being all catty, and call you names, or doing things that are absolutely going to mortify you. When you just walk away and you don’t show any sign of emotion, it’s actually makes the mean girl kind of loose interest and realize that you’re not going to play any of her games, and you can now go on and live your life and be happy. Number two, being a leader means that you are willing and able to say no to activities that other people are doing that you don’t want to do. This might involve like wearing pink on Fridays, cutting class, maybe doing some kind of activity that you’re not up for like my mind is going to that senior mean girls where they all dressed like Santa and doing a dance on stage. If you don’t want to do that you can say no, and feel totally confident in yourself, and don’t worry about what other people going to think or if you’re going to miss that on something both fun. You don’t want to do it, you shouldn’t do it. This not only makes you look more confident to other people so they bother you less, but it also gives you the time and freedom to do things that you actually want to do. If you want to sing in a school choir and join the athletes, which pretty much sounds like me when I was in highschool, you should totally do it, because that’s going to make you a happier and more rounded person who enjoys life. Number three is “Slam Status.” Mean girl hierarchy is kind of like “Game of Thrones.” They can only be one queen, at least that’s what the mean girls think. This is totally scarcity mentality, because we all know there’s enough popularity and success to go around for everyone, but the mean girl feels it’s her job to push down anyone who actually threatens her status. One way that you can actually prevent a mean girl from feeling threatened by you is actually to compliment her when you’re in a room. This can make her feel really good about herself but also makes her feel like the center of attention when you’re around, which makes her feel like you’re totally not a threat. Number four is “Forget Fomo.” One tactic that mean girls notoriously use is posing photos on social media, or Snapchat, or whatever, a thing that they did purposely to make you feel excluded. If this ever happens to you, if someone is bragging about the amazing time that they had that you didn’t get to experience, don’t focus on what you missed out, because it’s probably wouldn’t as good as they say it is but also you can focus on what you actually accomplish during that time.

Bullying and Relational Aggression Tips for Parents of Teen Girls
http://www.CoachKeisha.com http://www.facebook.com/coachkeisha Bullying. It seems to be a “buzz word” in the media lately. However, the truth is that it’s not really just a “buzz word”, it’s actually a serious problem in schools today. This week’s video was inspired by an email that I received from a Mom whose daughter expressed that she was being bullied. It’s important to note that bullying in the girl-world doesn’t always look like how it’s portrayed on TV with the big kid stealing the little kid’s lunch money and then running away. Nope, girls bully differently. It’s called Relational Aggression, because it often doesn’t cause physical pain, but instead it causes emotional, psychological, and social stress. Relational Aggression is when girls bully by starting rumors, gossiping, three way calling, sharing screen shots of text messages, making mean videos about each other, name calling, making mean memes, exclusion, taking pictures & posting on Instagram and not tagging someone, snapping a picture and then tagging someone who wasn’t even in the picture (as a way of bragging), and alliance building…just to name a few. If you feel like your daughter is being bullied…or if you feel like your daughter is a bully, check out this week’s video for some Bullying & Relational Aggression Tips for Parents http://www.CoachKeisha.com

STOP BULLYING! a short Film
It has been called to my attention that people are still offended by the casting in this video from 2012. For your information, this wasn't meant to be stereotypical, we all picked our parts and if the fact that the blondes are playing mean girls offends you then maybe you shouldn't be on youtube... anyways enjoy the film it happens in the school hallways, at lunch, on the bus, online. Bullying. Bullying is a terrible thing! I wanted to make this video because I really want to get the word out about Stopping Bullying. Nobody deserves to be bullied, no matter how different from you they are. What you may consider joking around someone else may consider harassment. You may bully because you are bored. Why? Why do you enjoy watching people's self esteem go down, down, down? Some bully because they have their own problems and feel relieved when they give other people problems. That's not right! Tell a counselor, teacher, parent or someone trust and they can help you work through those problems, and trust me it's a lot less painful and so much easier. In this video, I (long Dark hair) represented the girl who was always there but never said anything when she saw bullying happen. But that's not right either, tell someone! You my think it'll make things worse but by simply telling a teacher, you could save someone's life! I hope you enjoy this video! Mikayla (Long Blond wavy Hair) Kinley (Short Dirty blond Hair) Tinsley (Blond hair) Brianna (Short black hair) Micah (brown/black hair)

High school beating caught on tape turned into anti-bullying message by victim - TomoNews
PHILADELPHIA — A teenager whose brutal beating by four girls was circulated on the Internet has turned the tables on her bullies by using the video to create a powerful anti-bullying message that has gone viral. Mia DeJesus was beaten unconscious by four girls in a bathroom at Northeast High School in Philadelphia last Wednesday, she told local ABC affiliate WPVI-TV. She says four student assailants locked her in the bathroom and beat her up. One of the girls recorded the beating and posted it to social media, where others reposted it. So DeJesus made her own version of the video, which has been viewed millions of times. She's also been spreading her message with the hashtag #TeamMia. "All the people that have been texting me on Facebook and telling me their story," Dejesus told WPVI-TV. "I feel like I did help a lot of people in the short amount of time that my video has been up." Northeast High School has suspended her four attackers, and one of them is under investigation for aggravated assault, according to WPVI-TV. But the school denies the bullying allegations, releasing a statement saying it considers the incident "a neighborhood dispute that spilled over into the school building." ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Teenage girl caught on video bullying two girls given 10 month referral order.
The girl, aged 16, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to robbery and assault at an earlier hearing at Birmingham Youth Court, after she was filmed attacking two girls on Saturday 11th July. A series of three videos showed an unprovoked attack against two girls, both aged 14, on Hilary Grove in Northfield at around 10PM. The videos have been viewed more than 11 million times. The girl has today (03/08) been handed a 10 month referral order with intensive contract, meaning she will have to appear before a youth offender panel who – in conjunction with the victims’ wishes - will decide what reparations she will need to make to redress the harm she has caused. Whatever actions are agreed will then have to be done for the next 10 months or she will be sent back to court for resentencing. She has also been ordered to pay £500 in total in compensation to her victims and her mother has been given a three-month parenting order, which will involve the regular attendance of guidance sessions. Detective Constable Michelle Beasley, who investigated the case, said: “The girl in question has fully admitted the offences she was charged with and is disgusted by her own actions. This was an act of bullying in its most sadistic and spiteful form – people who viewed the footage online were quite rightly outraged by what they had seen. While it is only right the victims in this case have a say in how this girl will make up for what she has done, her real sentence is the video of her appalling behaviour, which is likely to remain on the internet haunting her for many years to come.” Another teenage girl suspected of being involved in the attack – also aged 16 - has been interviewed by officers and a file has been sent to the Crown Prosecution Service for their consideration. What Do Teens Think About Bullying? | Reverse Assumptions
It’s certainly easier to make assumptions about people than it is to spend time getting to know someone. We wanted to put assumptions to the test to see what we're missing out on because we're so busy assuming we already "know" a person. Join us as we discover why you should never judge a book by it’s cover in our series, Reverse Assumptions. We are all conditioned with certain biases. In this experiment, we challenged these biases by asking people to make assumptions about their partner's appearance without ever actually seeing their partner. When they flipped around to finally face each other, they were shocked by how wrong they were. Now it's YOUR turn. What do people assume about you? Vosburg's arrest is not believed to be in connection with the arrest of her daughter, but Judd said at a news conference this evening, "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Polk County Sheriff spokeswoman Carrie Eleazer said the woman is accused of "beating children she had access to." Judd said news of the daughter's arrest prompted several people to alert the sheriff's office to a video posted in July on Facebook in which the mother is seen beating at least one of her children. The video shows Vosburg repeatedly punching a boy's head while another older boy is seen laying on the floor, seemingly unconscious. "They were all laughing, cussing and throwing F-bombs everywhere," Judd said, "which clearly indicates to us that this is a normal way of life." Vosburg hit the child at least 10 times, said Judd. Vosburg was given a chance to defend herself when interviewed by police on Thursday. "At first she said, I accidentally hit him, and then she said, the two boys were seriously fighting, and then well I was having a bad day," Judd said quoting Vosburg. Later she added, "Well I did go too far that day. It got out of hand." Shocked that the video was ever taken, "I'm astounded by this conduct, I'm astounded that it was posted, and then I'm even more astounded... that it stayed there," Judd said. Earlier this week, Vosburg denied to ABC News that her daughter could have bullied Sedwick. "I would check her Facebook every time she would get on it," she said Tuesday night. Sheriff Judd earlier this week scoffed at the mother's comment, saying Shaw's parents were "in denial." At the news conference today Judd said the video is enough evidence to show that "Vivian does not monitor Facebook, Vivian hasn't monitored Facebook, ... but if she wants to take credit, then she thought it was okay." Vosburg is being held in county jail without bond until her first court appearance Saturday. None of the children in the video suffered significant injuries. Vosburg is the biological mother of some of the children in the video but not all. She is in step relation to Guadalupe Shaw.

STOP BULLYING-The devastating effects of bullying on teenage girls Mental Health I Bipolar Barbie
Effects of Bullying Bullying can affect everyone—those who are bullied, those who bully, and those who witness bullying. Bullying is linked to many negative outcomes including impacts on mental health, substance use, and suicide. It is important to talk to kids to determine whether bullying—or something else—is a concern. Kids Who are Bullied Kids who are bullied can experience negative physical, school, and mental health issues. Kids who are bullied are more likely to experience: Depression and anxiety, increased feelings of sadness and loneliness, changes in sleep and eating patterns, and loss of interest in activities they used to enjoy. These issues may persist into adulthood. Health complaints Decreased academic achievement—GPA and standardized test scores—and school participation. They are more likely to miss, skip, or drop out of school. A very small number of bullied children might retaliate through extremely violent measures. In 12 of 15 school shooting cases in the 1990s, the shooters had a history of being bullied. Kids Who Bully Others Kids who bully others can also engage in violent and other risky behaviors into adulthood. Kids who bully are more likely to: Abuse alcohol and other drugs in adolescence and as adults Get into fights, vandalize property, and drop out of school Engage in early sexual activity Have criminal convictions and traffic citations as adults Be abusive toward their romantic partners, spouses, or children as adults Bystanders Kids who witness bullying are more likely to: Have increased use of tobacco, alcohol, or other drugs Have increased mental health problems, including depression and anxiety Miss or skip school The Relationship between Bullying and Suicide Media reports often link bullying with suicide. However, most youth who are bullied do not have thoughts of suicide or engage in suicidal behaviors. Although kids who are bullied are at risk of suicide, bullying alone is not the cause. Many issues contribute to suicide risk, including depression, problems at home, and trauma history. Additionally, specific groups have an increased risk of suicide, including American Indian and Alaskan Native, Asian American, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth. This risk can be increased further when these kids are not supported by parents, peers, and schools. Bullying can make an unsupportive situation worse. Signs a Child Is Being Bullied Look for changes in the child. However, be aware that not all children who are bullied exhibit warning signs. Some signs that may point to a bullying problem are: Unexplainable injuries Lost or destroyed clothing, books, electronics, or jewelry Frequent headaches or stomach aches, feeling sick or faking illness Changes in eating habits, like suddenly skipping meals or binge eating. Kids may come home from school hungry because they did not eat lunch. Difficulty sleeping or frequent nightmares Declining grades, loss of interest in schoolwork, or not wanting to go to school Sudden loss of friends or avoidance of social situations Feelings of helplessness or decreased self esteem Self-destructive behaviors such as running away from home, harming themselves, or talking about suicide Signs a Child is Bullying Others Kids may be bullying others if they: Get into physical or verbal fights Have friends who bully others Are increasingly aggressive Get sent to the principal’s office or to detention frequently Have unexplained extra money or new belongings Blame others for their problems Don’t accept responsibility for their actions Are competitive and worry about their reputation or popularity exerct from: https://www.stopbullying.gov/at-risk/effects/index.html INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/the_bipolar_barbie TWITTER: https://twitter.com/BipolarBarbieau FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/thebipolarbarbie/ YOUTUBE: www.youtube.com/c/bipolarbarbie WEBSITE: www.bipolarbarbie.com
