The Deep Sea - Top 10 Facts

11:10
The deep sea is the largest habitat on the planet, taking up to 95% of the earth’s living space. Yet, the deep sea also the most unexplored environment, despite being one of the most amazing places on the planet. Throughout this video we’ll explain 10 amazing interesting facts about the deep sea. Nobody knows where it begins - The ‘deep-sea’ is a contested term, lacking a single exact definition. For some it refers to the any part of the ocean where scary, odd and downright bizarre creatures live. For others, it’s a descriptive definition of specific ocean depths. Credit: http://linkbun.ch/04fay - Deep sea creatures are purposefully incredibly diverse. - Species from the deep may look like they’ve evolved in strange ways just to freak us out, but in fact they’ve evolved that way for specific survival purposes. For instance, to take advantage of the lack of light, most animals are transparent or red, a colour which few creatures can detect and is camouflaging in the darkness. Credit: http://linkbun.ch/04f2h - Exploring the deep is tremendously testing - An obvious fact, but one you probably haven’t seriously thought about. Part of the reason why it’s taken us so long to explore is because only recently have we created new generations of incredibly sophisticated underwater vehicles that are able to venture so deep. Credit: http://linkbun.ch/04f2i - Only three people have ever been to the deep sea - Due to the previously mentioned extremities, the deep sea may be the final frontier of exploration. Many more people have then been into space than to the deep sea. Like seriously, a loaaad more. Over 500 people have been into space, whereas only 3 people have ever ventured over 1000 fathoms into the depth of our oceans. Credit: http://linkbun.ch/04f2j - New species are being discovered daily - Since it’s largely unexplored, each time a vehicle is sent into the deep, it’s highly likely to unearth a new discovery. Over a recent year-long period the World Register of Marine Species reported discovering 1451 new marine species, of which many were found to be from the deep sea. Credit: http://linkbun.ch/04f2k - It’s a giant’s playground - The term Deep-sea gigantism exists in zoology for a reason. It refers to the tendency for deep-sea dwelling animals to be larger in size than their shallower-water relatives. We're not sure whether it comes about as a result of adaptation for scarce resources, greater pressure, or for other reasons. Credit: http://linkbun.ch/04f2l - Some amazing ecosystems exist on the ocean floor - In 1977 a deep-sea research expedition made history as they found hydrothermal vents releasing mineral rich water at the bottom of the ocean. Credit: http://linkbun.ch/04f2m - Geothermal vents aren’t the only thriving ecosystems on the ocean floor - Lush Deep-water coral gardens of various sizes, colours and shapes are able to survive in the Icy cold and extremely dim waters of up to 6000m (20,000 ft) below the ocean’s surface. In fact, scientists have discovered nearly as many species of deep-sea corals as shallow-water species. Unlike shallow-water corals, deep-sea corals don’t need sunlight but rather obtain the energy and nutrients they need to survive by trapping tiny organisms in passing currents. Credit: http://linkbun.ch/04f2n - The deep-sea may solve many of our problems - Some organisms that live in deep-sea coral habitats and the deep sea in general produce chemicals with enormous potential for future medicinal or commercial products such as pharmaceuticals, enzymes, pesticides or cosmetics. Credit: http://linkbun.ch/04f2o - The sea floor is a barren land - Put all your thoughts of geothermal vents and deep-sea coral reefs aside because the vast majority of the seafloor is featureless mud. On the face of it, it’s pretty similar to the empty expanses of outer space, but in space you can see everything using telescopes. 10 MOST DANGEROUS OCEAN CREATURES IN THE WORLD

10:17
10 Most Dangerous Water Animals In The World ► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/vHN6qB For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] There are many different types of creatures that live in streams, lakes, seas and oceans. And while many of these creatures are harmless, there are many that are incredibly dangerous if you happen to have an encounter with them. These dangerous animals lurk beneath the surface of the water in a world vastly different than ours, and must be deadly to survive. Join us as we take a look at 10 of the most dangerous water creatures. 10. Australian Box Jellyfish – This creature is not one to be messed around with if you happen to swim into a swarm of them. And while they may seem harmless, the Australian box jellyfish is considered to be the most venomous marine animal in the world. They have tentacles that are covered with tiny darts called nematocysts, and they are loaded with poison. 9. Flower Urchin – Beautiful but deadly, these sea urchins are extremely venomous. They look like a bouquet of small flowers; to which they get their name from. They feed on invertebrates, sponges, and dead fish, and have well developed jaws for grinding up their prey. 8. The Saltwater Crocodile – Evolving around 200 million years in the Mesozoic epoch, crocodiles have far outlived the dinosaurs. The Salt water crocodile is the world’s largest reptile, and they have been known to grow up to 27 feet long and weigh 2,465 lbs. 7. Textile Cone Snail – Mother nature teaches us that anything in nature that is beautiful, is most likely deadly, and a warning to predators and humans to not touch or disturb them. This holds true for the Textile Cone Snail. 6. The Sea Snake – These highly venomous marine snakes are closely related and belong to the same family as the cobra. There are two independently evolved groups: the true sea snakes which are related to Australian terrestrial elapids, and the sea kraits which are related to Asian cobras. 5. The Lionfish – Lionfish are skilled hunters, using specialized bilateral swim bladder muscles to provide exquisite control of location in the water column, allowing the fish to alter its center of gravity to better attack prey. The lionfish then spreads its large pectoral fins and swallows its prey in a single motion. 4. The Stingray – Stingrays are a group of rays, which are cartilaginous fish related to sharks, and are one of the oceans deadliest creatures. Most stingrays have one or more barbed stingers on their tails, which are used exclusively for self-defense. 3. Blue-Ringed Octopus – This octopus has some of the most striking colors of any ocean creature. They get their name from the brightly blue colored rings on its body. 2. Needlefish – These strange looking creatures are very slender, and have a single dorsal fin, placed far back on the body. Needlefish are capable of making short jumps out of the water at up to 37 mph. Since Needlefish swim near the surface, they often leap over the decks of shallow boats rather than going around. 1. The Moray Eel - Most attacks stem from disruption of a moray's burrow to which they react strongly, but an increasing number of accidents also occur during hand feeding of morays by divers, an activity often used by dive companies to attract tourists.

10 Creepy Sea Creatures You Didn't Know Existed

04:33
Did you know any of these amazing and scary deep sea creatures? It's hard to believe these bizarre animals exist. Subscribe: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg 'Hatchet Fish' footage by Filmic Art : www.filmicart.com For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Description: There is a vast world below the ocean that we have yet to discover in its entirety. While we seem to know nearly everything about the land, the sea still leaves much to be desired. As you go down into the depths of the ocean, you’ll notice a lot will change. For one, you’ll begin to be immersed in darkness. Second, the pressure will change. So, the creatures that have been discovered deep in the oceanic depths are quite different biologically, and they can be quite terrifying to look at. But once we begin to understand them, we can start to learn more about our existence, and even come closer to curing diseases and solving some of the world’s most complex mysteries. However, the sea creatures that have been discovered recently have shown to be just downright creepy and terrifying. You probably recall the Angler Fish, especially if you’re seen the Disney movie, “Finding Nemo”. If you didn’t realize that this fish is the real deal, get ready for new additions to your nightmares. It wasn’t a work of fiction or some messed up fantasy of some Disney Imagineer. The fish that we see in this video is actually female, and the male is a small weakling, wandering the sea to find a female with her pheromones. The male then attaches itself to the female and becomes a parasite. Every part of the male merges with the female except for the testicles, which the female uses to impregnate herself. Jokes aside, this is quite a fascinating process despite how creepy it is. Similar to the angler fish is the Viper Fish, which has a natural extra attachment that illuminates in the darkness of the sea with the purpose of attracting prey. The blob fish is a creature that you wonder what God was smoking or shooting up when he decided to create the blob fish. This fish has no bones, and literally just hangs out on the ocean floor and hopes that food comes to its mouth. Whether you want to worship the blob fish for its epic level of laziness or wonder how in the world the species is still in existence with such an apathetic demeanor, it’s still creepy to look at. Then we have the goblin shark, which is pretty much like the underwater version of the alien from the movie “Alien” due to its protruding mouth. The goblin shark has a large snout and needle-like teeth that are sharp and deadly. For a completely random sea creature, we have the Christmas Tree Worms, which really look like tiny walking fir trees that come in different colors. The branches or hair-like appendages help them breathe as well as consume phytoplankton. Then we have the sea pig, which looks nothing like the pigs we have on land. But instead the sea pig is a multi-tubed foot sea creature that is closely related to the sea cucumber. It eats by pulling water and absorbing organic food. Quite innovative, even though it looks creepy. For more creepy sea creatures, check out the rest of the video for more. What Lives At The BOTTOM Of The Mariana Trench?

11:45
Do you ever wonder what lives at the bottom of the mariana trench? This top 10 list of creepy deep sea monsters has some giant and bizarre creatures that are scary and mysterious! Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "MYSTERIOUS Creatures Living At The BOTTOM Of The World!" video here: https://youtu.be/Efhjc-Gu508 Watch our "SECRETS Casinos DON'T Want You To Find Out!" video here: https://youtu.be/hAoABuvzOZM Watch our "RAREST And Most EXPENSIVE Cars In The World!" video here: https://youtu.be/MtCnWSqqilg 10. Frilled Shark The frilled shark has been around a long, LONG time. They’re ‘living fossils’, thought to have been swimming around for anywhere between 95 and 300 million years! Also while they were first discovered in approx 1880 they weren’t actually described until 2004 (the same ROV mission as the barreleye fish). This is one predator that really knows how to keep its head down. It lives at a depth of over 5,000 ft (1524 m). 9. Hatchet Fish Okay so if you came face to face with this dude you’d get one hell of a shock right? Meet the deep sea hatchet fish, so called because of its metallic, hatchet-shaped appearance. It can be found 5,000 ft (1,524 m) down. The metal like quality comes from its scales which is just as well because if it weren’t so shiny you’d have trouble seeing it! 8. Seadevil Anglerfish You’ve probably seen this one in the movies. A seadevil anglerfish appeared in Finding Nemo and the image has been used in some high profile shows like The Simpsons. They were first described in 1864 and can live at a depth of over 6,000 feet (1900 m). Like many deep sea species its movements are mysterious to experts and the only one filmed alive was in 2014. 7. Telescope Octopus Some deep sea animals like to take it easy, I mean there’s a lot of pressure down there!! Maybe none more so than the telescope octopus. Living anywhere from 500 - 6,500 ft (150 - 2000 m) below the surface it’s really laid back. In fact that’s literally what it does… lie back and use its eyes to look up for any food swimming by. 6. Benthocodon Usually when you think of a jellyfish you think of a transparent wobbly thing that stings your foot. Well not this one. The benthocodon isn’t transparent. It has a round, red top which is 2 - 3 cm in diameter and it won’t sting you unless you run into it 2,500 ft (762 m) below the surface. You’d have to be pretty crazy to be at that depth and even crazier without any flippers! 5. Barreleye Fish This fish with a transparent head shocked viewers when it appeared on Blue Planet! Also known as a “spookfish” it has a jelly-like forehead that allows it to look up through its skull, giving it greater visibility! Pretty freaky huh? It is a very efficient hunter that can live at a depth of at least 2,600 feet (800 m) and can be anywhere from 15 to 40 cm long. 4. Goblin Shark This shark is one ugly shark, hence why we call it the goblin shark! Of course I wouldn’t say that to its face poor thing! But its sword-like snout and prehistoric appearance makes it truly unique. 3. Zombie Worm Zombie worms, also known as bone-eating worms, were discovered by accident in 2002 when they appeared to be drilling into the skeletons of dead animals like whales and fish. This confused experts because they looked too squishy to be able to drill like that, but that is how they got their name. The answer came later on in 2012. 2. Foraminifera Foraminifera or ‘fora’ are tiny organisms from the ‘protist’ family. They vary between 100 micrometers and around 20 cm. Because many of them are so small and I’m guessing chewy, they are a prime source of food in the Mariana Trench. That’s a shame because there’s a lot more to these little things than meets the eye. 1. Ping Pong Tree Sponge The strangest name on our list is also the nastiest! Sure, Ping Pong Tree Sponge sounds like something out of Spongebob Squarepants and it’s one beautiful-looking life form. But despite this charming exterior this isn’t a thing to be messed with! It lives nearly 9000 ft (2743 m) underwater and if you’re a small creature it spells bad news. Utterly Weird Sea Animals - Ocean Animals Facts New Documentary HD 2017

49:34
Utterly Weird Sea Animals - Ocean Animals Facts New Documentary HD 2017 Ocean animals consist of four main types of warm-blooded, live-bearing marine mammals - whales, seals, manatees and otters. The evolutionary paths of these complicated animals finds them crawling out of the prehistoric ocean onto dry land as cold-bloodied creatures hundreds of millions of years ago. Once on land, they developed lungs and limbs, their bodies gained the ability to regulate their own temperature and they began to bear live young. Then, some 50 million years ago, they returned to the sea again as robust mammals. Each family transformed back to sea animals in varying degrees. The otters retained their hind limbs and nimble front paws for grasping food. On the others, the digits of the feet webbed back together into powerful flippers. The return to the sea, with its vast food sources and immense territories, has been a very successful one for these ocean animals. The largest living animal on Earth - the blue whale - and the biggest population of large carnivores - the seals- evolved only after they returned to the depths. With the dolphin and the sea otter among them, ocean animals include some of the most complex, fascinating and intelligent beings on our planet. - Ocean Animals Facts ► NOTE : I'm a big fan of National Geographic and I just collect the best parts of National Geographic. 10 Immortal Animals You Won't Believe Are Real | Interesting Facts ► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/gYLyzW For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Believe It Or Not – Surely All These Animals Greatly Outlive You We know the life cycle; an animal is born, grows up, becomes an adult, reproduces, ages, gets old and finally dies. This is a universal truth about animal life on earth. Aging is a natural process for all living beings. In biology, it called senescence. Birth slowly becomes death by way of aging (if not by accident, disease or falling prey) in a natural life process. Therefore, it is hard to believe that some animals are almost immortal. There are a few species of animals in which the process of aging is extremely slow. Their life span is much longer in comparison to that of a human being. This is termed as “negligible senescence”. Here the symptoms of aging are so faint that it seems like they can never die. Tortoise As children, all of us might have heard or read about the tortoise’s immortality. The life span of a tortoise is 150 to 250 years. A tortoise shell contrary to common belief actually has 60 different interconnected bones. Red Sea Urchin Sea urchins usually live in warm waters close to the coral reefs or on the rocky bottom. Their life spans up to 200 years. They never stop growing but don’t get old. Their mouth has five sharp teeth and they can drill a hole in a rock. Sea urchins originated roughly 450 million years ago. Rougheye Rockfish Rougheye rockfish are probably one of the longest living marine fish, living as long as 200 years. “Red Snapper”, which you can sometimes find on restaurant menus, are actually rockfish. They do not lay eggs but give birth to young ones. Rockfish have a bladder that adjusts to their buoyancy as per depth levels inside the sea. Carp Koi Carp Koi have a lifespan of over 200 years. Koi fish represent love and friendship in Japanese culture. As a gift, they are believed to bring good luck; so traditionally they are handed over from one generation to the next in Japanese families. Koi have no stomach, instead, they only have a gut. Bowhead Whale They are believed to live up to 200 years. The Bowhead whale can grow up to a length of 66 ft. and weigh as much as 100 tons. Bowhead whales were massively hunted for their meat and oil. A bowhead whale can blow air up to 20 feet in height and are strong enough to easily break a one-foot thick ice layer. Ocean Quahog World’s oldest ocean quahog was 507 years old before its death in 2006. They are able to live for centuries because of their very slow metabolism. This ocean quahog was named after Chinese dynasty “Ming”. Freshwater Pearl Mussel Freshwater pearl mussels possess negligible senescence. They have a life span of 210–250 years. Freshwater mussel species have the ability to create a pearl. Antarctic Sponge The Antarctic sponge has an extremely slow growth rate because of the very low temperature there; some of the oldest known specimens are as old as 1550 years. Sponges have been inhabiting earth for the last 600 million years. Turritopsis Dohrn jellyfish This jellyfish discovered in 1883 can truly be called immortal because of its unique regenerative powers which came to our knowledge only two decades back. Its cells can transform into different kinds of cells like a muscle cell can change into a sperm cell or even an egg cell or vice versa. Water Bear Water bears, also known as tardigrades or moss piglet have existed for 530 million years. They have some super powers which make them virtually immortal. They can stop all their metabolic activities completely by a process called cryptobiosis. Water bears do not grow by cell division. Their cells just expand to a bigger size.

5 STRANGE Deep Sea Creatures - Part 1?

06:56
Its pitch black, extremely cold, immensely pressurised, low in food and oxygen and insanely vast. I'm of course talking about the Deep Sea. To survive in inconceivably extreme environments like this, animals of the deep must be pretty unbelievable. They are. Mainly because these mysterious creatures have adapted in ways that will surely blow your mind away - for a multitude of reasons. At a depth of 1800 meters or more it’s the largest habitat on earth, so let’s explore 5 unbelievable creatures found there. Watch the video for a more informative and entertaining experience (though the list is below): ➢5. The Spotlight Loosejaw This alien from the deep has highly-adapted weaponry and surveillance gear. It has a bioluminescent flashlight below its eyes that is undetectable to its prey and has an incredibly large and fast jaw. ➢4. The Barreleye Fish This animal has adapted in a unique way, to say the least. It's got a transparent head and unusual barrelled eyes. got 360 degree vision and is so illusive that only one has ever been filmed. ➢3. Cookiecutter shark Don’t let this deep sea creatures silly name and wide smile fool you because it's actually really vicious and definitely doesn't pick fights on creatures of its own size. This is because it preys on just about every large and medium-sized creature it shares an ocean with, from whales to seals and even other sharks. ➢2. Giant Isopod These bottom feeders are thought to live at depths of up to 2200 meters where they like to burry themselves in the mud for protection. They have an extremely slow metabolism to conserve energy and can starve themselves for years. ➢1. Wolf-Trap Angler An anglerfish with an unusual jaw, which is how it got its name. The anglerfish is certainly an unbelievable creature more generally though. It hunts with some sort of fishing rod on its head and when it comes to reproducing the male simply bites the female... eternally.

10 Animals That Were Recently Discovered

12:03
► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/vHN6qB For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] The animal kingdom is diverse and fascinating, and there are many different versions of the same species all over the planet. In some areas, such as the deepest reaches of the Amazon Rainforest, we know very little about all the creatures that exist there. And while us humans tend to think of ourselves as the masters of our world, it cannot be denied that there are many weird and wonderful things on Planet Earth of which we are simply unaware. That’s why everyone becomes so excited when we discover a new plant or animal species. Recently scientists have discovered new species of wasp, shark, ape, and even new animals descended from Dinosaurs! With that in mind, here are 10 amazing animals that have only been discovered in recent years. Squalus Clarkae Also known as the “Genie’s Dogfish,” this tiny member of the shark family, specifically the dogfish shark, grows just 20 to 28 inches long. Found in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico, this dainty predator has huge, anime-like eyes which are perfect for seeing in the deep, dark waters. Calistoga Crassicaudata Despite being just 9.8 millimeters long, this species of parasitic wasp is native to the Amazon, and is one of the most nightmarish creatures on this list. Its stinger is about half the length of its tiny body and is also an “ovipositor.” This means that that stinger also deposits eggs, along with a paralytic toxin into the wound it creates. Caelestiventus Hanseni This entry has been, thankfully, discovered post extinction. If you think we’re cruel for saying this, just wait until you hear about C.Hanseni! C. Hanseni was, in fact, a breed of Giant Pterosaur which sported no less than 110 teeth and 4 seriously wicked fangs. The scientists responsible for discovering it estimate that it may have had a wingspan of around 4.9 feet and fangs 2.5 centimeters in length. Mansourasaurus shahinae The second ancient discovery on our list is less carnivorous, but no less terrifying for its vegetarian nature. The Mansourasaurus was found in Egypt by archeologists in late 2017. This sauropod was long-necked, long-tailed, and the size of a modern-day bus! What makes this discovery so exciting? Dendrocerus Scutellaris Another member of the wasp family which has been discovered in recent years, D.Scutellaris is also a parasitic wasp that seems to have cut its way straight from a scary movie. Like it’s cousin C.Crassicaudata, this wasp lays eggs inside of a host. The larvae then hatch and, well you get the rest. Despite this, D.Scutellaris lacks the strong, pointy jaws that most endoparasitoid wasps use to chew their way free. Tardigrades Lovers of weird and wonderful animals will already know about the famously sturdy Tardigrade or as its sometimes called “water bear”. This tiny microscopic creature can survive in extreme cold down to negative -328 degrees Fahrenheit and extreme heat up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. In fact, they can even survive in the intense radiation and crushing vacuum of space! Talk about a super-creature, right? Shastasaurid The creatures of the world’s oceans remain more mysterious than even the surface of the moon; deep dwelling animals are still being discovered, today, and so it is little surprise that we are still becoming aware of now extinct species. Junzi Imperialis The burials of ancient Chinese royals were very often flamboyant and outlandish affairs which displayed the wealth and importance of the person through the goods they were buried with. Even still, archaeologists were surprised to find the remains of an extinct and ancient member of the Gibbon family within the burial menagerie of the grandmother of China’s first Emperor. The Bryant Shark Thanks to recent movies and media, the public is more aware of ancient sea life than ever before. Jurassic World, and The Meg have brought huge, sea-dwelling dinos into the public eye. But while we know about the infamous Megalodon, the largest shark to ever exist, few are aware of the ongoing search for one of its ancestors Orthrozanclus Elongata With an armored back and spikes lining its sides, this 515-million-year-old critter would probably give most people a nasty scare if they were to see it in person. The cocktail-stick-like spikes on its back were longer than the creature was wide and extended like sunbursts. Discoverer Dr. Martin Smith remarks that this would have made them look rather like a cuddly cactus. We hope you enjoyed this video! Let us know which one of these animals was your favorite. (CC BY-SA 2.0) - A size comparison of a killer whale, blue whale, a Pliosaur (Predator X), and a human diver., or Sponga, Bergens Tidende (CC BY-SA 2.0) - The huge pliosaur fossils had to be cast in plaster before being removed from the Svalbard site., Jørn Hurum/NHM/UiO (CC BY-SA 2.0) List of most terrifying sea monsters ever: 9. Predator X Predator X is the most powerful marine reptile ever discovered. Over 15 meters long, and weighing about 4 tons, it was twice as big as most Jurassic predators. The giant reptile roamed the seas about 150 million years ago and was officially classified as a new species. Now known as Pliosaurus funkei, it had a massive 2m skull with a bite four times as powerful as a Tyrannosaurus rex. (Although I prefer the name Predator X). Studies of the brain cavity of Predator X has revealed that its brain was actually similar to the much smaller great white shark?. In 2006, scientists found two massive pliosaur skeletons in Norway. The giant creatures, looked slightly different from other pliosaurs discovered in England and France over the last century and a half.  The pliosaur family had short necks and four large, paddle-shaped limbs like a turtle that allowed them to move up to 5m per second. The newly discovered funkei species likely lived closer to 145 million years ago and ate plesiosaurs, related long-necked, small-headed reptiles. The new analysis shows P. funkei had longer front paddles than other pliosaurs, and different teeth. This predator is still bigger than the largest living apex predator, the whale, which tops out at about 9m (30 ft) long. 8. Plesiosaurs Plesiosaurs were a group of marine reptiles, or dinosaurs-that-weren’t-actually-dinosaurs but lived at the same time during the Jurassic Period. It had a tiny head and a long neck, paddle flippers, and a tail. Even though it was smaller than Predator X, Its mouth was full of needle-like teeth pointing inward, a perfect death trap for prey and for ripping flesh. In 1987 a plesiosaur fossil was discovered with the bones of an embryo in its abdomen, proving that the animal gave birth to live young. This creature seems to have somehow given rise to the Loch Ness Monster as the physical description is very similar. Plesiosaurs would swallow stones weighing about 5 pounds (2.2kg) to help them digest their prey. If there was one plesiosaur you needed to watch out for, it was Liopleurodon (lye plur i dun). This carnivorous beast could weigh over 3,500 pounds and reach over 30 feet in length, including jaws that are believed to be 10 feet alone, complete, of course, with a very wide jaw and several rows of razor-sharp teeth. Their bodies consisted of a unique, paddle design for limbs, which has been tested and proven on small swimming robots that the Liopleurodon would not have been super fast they were terrifyingly agile. Most likely they hunted similar to the crocodiles of today, with short and fast burst attacks. So that makes them just perfect for any underwater haunted...aquarium. 7. Giant Sea Scorpion (Jaekelopterus rhenaniae) Since there is no way I can pronounce this we'll just call this one the Giant Sea Scorpion. Larger than a human and about the size of a crocodile (2.5m), the 390-million-year-old sea scorpion was the top predator of its day. This was one of the two largest arthropods to have ever lived, reaching a length of over 8 feet of armored, clawed horror. Most of us freak out at the thought of a tarantula, so it’s easy to imagine screaming like a banshee if you ever swam by one of these. A huge fossilized spiky claw discovered in Germany in 2007 measured 18 inches (46 cm). We've known about super sized insects for years now but it wasn't until this discovery that scientists realized just how big some of these creepy crawlies could get. The next biggest fossil arthropods were massive millipedes that grew more than 2 meters (6.5 feet) long, 6. Basilosaurus The Basilosaurus’ name and appearance make it seem like an ancient reptile, but it’s actually a blood-thirsty ancestor of today’s whales. It's ironic given that its name means “King Lizard,” but that is because when it was discovered by Richard Owen in 1834, it was thought be a reptile. It wasn't until over 10 years later that he discovered it was actually a mammal and tried to rename it the Zeuglodon, meaning Yoke Tooth, but that didn’t catch on.

How do you recognize something that you can touch and something you have to run away from as fast as possible? Here is a list of the most dangerous sea creatures you can meet and how to recognize them! There are so many different species living in the ocean! Some of them are beautiful, some are deadly, and some are both. TIMESTAMPS Fire Coral 0:40 Flower Urchin 1:20 Cone Snail 1:50 Portuguese Man-of-War 2:32 Snea snakes 3:54 Lionfish 4:51 Chironex 5:39 Surgeonfish 6:15 Indonesian needlefish 6:59 Triggerfish 7:34 SUMMARY - Fire Coral. These small organisms can sting, and the effect can be not very serious and it can be quite bad. A stung person may have severe pains, feel nauseated and even vomit, which is not the best thing to do when you are underwater. - Flower Urchin is both very beautiful and very deadly. It contains toxins that can cause anaphylactic shock, convulsions and finally death. You can get poisoned if you step on it when you are in the sea or the ocean. - Scientists say that just one drop of the cone snail’s poison is enough to kill 20 people! Just one drop! - The most mind-blowing fact about Man-of-War is that technically we should call it Men-of-War, and refer to it not as «it», but «they», and here is why: it’s an animal that is made up of a colony of organisms cooperating together. Man-of-war has tentacles that can be 30 feet long, which it uses to paralyze and kill fish and other small creatures. - Sea snakes are much more venomous than their land-living friends. As it turns out, they have to be like that because they hunt fish, so what they need to do is immobilize their prey very quickly not to let it escape. - Many people call the lionfish the most beautiful sea creature in the world. You can find them in the Caribbean and Eastern Atlantic. Lionfishes are not deadly — they do have a venom, but it’s not lethal. However, the pain you will experience if you get stung is so severe that people say you might wish you were dead. - Chironex doesn’t have any teeth, but it’s dangerous as hell. If a person gets stung, they will have excruciating pain, red inflammation in the stung area and heart dysfunction. - Surgeonfish are easily spooked, so you should be extra careful if you see one of them. Don’t make any unexpected fast moves. The good news is, surgeonfish are not aggressive unless, of course, you provoke them. - Indonesian needlefish live in tropical and subtropical waters of the oceans. They, as the name suggests, have a very sharp, needle-like beak, and they are especially dangerous when they hurl themselves out of the water. - Triggerfish is mostly friendly, but only until you are a threat to its nest. The most dangerous are females — if you approach its nest even accidentally, it will bite you. Thankfully, the bites aren’t poisonous, but triggerfish have extremely sharp teeth, so the injuries it can cause need serious medical attention. $1 activity! Silly AVAcado loves learning about ocean animals! We recommend you get a cheap package of foam animal capsules from Target or Michael's craft store for a fun summer afternoon activity. The water can get a little messy if you play with it so it is better to do outside and have fun splashing! Watch our video with sponge insects (ant, scorpion, grasshopper, bee, butterfly, caterpillar, roach, snail, dragonfly, fly, ladybug, spider): https://youtu.be/gNy3CjUxtVM Some packages are bugs and others we have seen are ocean animals. This package we opened were ocean animals and were so much fun! Silly AVAcado likes to learn a fun fact about each animal. In this video we have a dolphin, shark, seahorse, crab, tuna, lobster and whale. Watch the video to learn a fun fact about each ocean animal! Silly AVAcado liked all of them but the lobster was fun. *** There is an updated title that shows on a desktop computer but not a phone. We meant to put that the Pacific Ocean is on the WEST Coast by California. *** Leave a comment and let Silly AVAcado know what your favorite ocean animal is :) Thanks for watching and liking! Hindi |10 Amazing Transparent Animals In Hindi | JustGyan

There are many Transparent creatures/animals present in our earth, some are partially transparent and some are fully transparent. In this video, I will be talking about 10 amazing transparent creatures/animals in Hindi. Please subscribe to my channel JustGyan ►https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLVe2bI0WzTc1lzxE7A3w0g?sub_confirmation=1 Also like my Facebook page► https://www.facebook.com/justgyan1994/ In facebook page, I regularly upload something interesting everyday. ► हिन्दी Hindi | Amazing Animals Abilities https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QQqmKyCQg4&t ► 5 Deadliest Insects On Earth | Hindi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brvMrdHm8S4 1► Mnemiopsis leidyi, the warty comb jelly or sea walnut, is a species of tentaculate ctenophore (comb jelly), originally native to the western Atlantic coastal waters. Three species have been named in the genus Mnemiopsis, but they are now believed to be different ecological forms of a single species M. leidyi by most zoologists. 2► Census of Marine Life researchers discovered this unusual transparent sea cucumber (Enypniastes sp.) in the Gulf of Mexico at 2,750 meters depth. It creeps forward on its tentacles pretty slowly, at around 2 centimeters per minute, while sweeping detritus-rich sediment into its mouth. 3► Greta oto is a species of brush-footed butterfly and member of the subfamily Danainae, tribe Ithomiini, and subtribe Godyridina. It is known by the common name glasswing butterfly for its unique transparent wings. While its wings look delicate, the butterfly is able to carry up to 40 times its own weight. 4► This transparent fish is a juvenile Surgeonfish. They're found in a wide range of waters including those around New Zealand. Believe it or not, it's the same species of fish as Dory from Finding Nemo/Dory! They can grow up to 30 cm (12 inches) long and are popular aquarium fish. 5► The European eel is a critically endangered species. Since the 1970s, the numbers of eels reaching Europe is thought to have declined by around 90% (possibly even 98%). Contributing factors include overfishing, parasites such as Anguillicola crassus, barriers to migration such as hydroelectric dams, and natural changes in the North Atlantic oscillation, Gulf Stream, and North Atlantic drift. 6► Vitreledonella richardi, also known as the glass octopus, is an incirrate octopus. It is the sole representative of the genus Vitreledonella and of the family Vitreledonellidae.Vitreledonella is a transparent, gelatinous, and almost colorless meso- to bathypelagic octopod found worldwide in tropical and subtropical seas with a mantle length (ML) up to 11 cm and a total length up to 45 cm in adults.. 7► The glass frogs are frogs of the amphibian family Centrolenidae (order Anura). While the general background coloration of most glass frogs is primarily lime green, the abdominal skin of some members of this family is transparent. The internal viscera, including the heart, liver, and gastrointestinal tract, are visible through the skin, hence the common name is given as glass frog. 8► Kryptopterus vitreolus, known in the aquarium trade traditionally as the glass catfish and also as the ghost catfish or phantom catfish, is a small species of Asian glass catfish. It is commonly seen in the freshwater aquarium trade, but its taxonomy is confusing and was only fully resolved in 2013. 9► A salp (plural salps), salpa (plural salpae or salpas), is a barrel-shaped, planktonic tunicate. It moves by contracting, thus pumping water through its gelatinous body. Salp jet propulsion is one of the most efficient in the animal kingdom. The salp strains the pumped water through its internal feeding filters, feeding on phytoplankton. 10► The family Cranchiidae comprises the approximately 60 species of glass squid, also known as cockatoo squid, cranchiid, cranch squid, or bathyscaphoid squid. Cranchiid squid occur in surface and midwater depths of open oceans around the world. BADASS Ocean Creatures That EAT Land Animals!

Check out these BADASS Ocean Creatures That EAT Land Animals! This top 10 list of fish that eat creatures on land has some of the most amazing and craziest wildlife in nature! Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "REAL Mermaid Sightings Around The World!" video here: https://youtu.be/ChM0CBRmVsM Watch our "10 Sea Monsters ATTACKING A Boat!" video here: https://youtu.be/0XROvoPCDNc Watch our "STRANGEST Animals People Keep As Pets!" video here: https://youtu.be/OMa96nPqz-Y 9. Killifish It may not be too far a stretch to call the Killifish one of the most unique and interesting fish in the world. That's because this is a fish that only lives for about a year, and it uses its body as a missile in order to get food. However, one of the most shocking and surprising things about it, is that it can live on land for a week despite being a fish!! 8. European Wels Catfish The Wels Catfish is one of the world’s largest freshwater fish. This giant fish is native to Eastern Europe but can now be found all over thanks to fishermen who wanted to be able to fish them for sport in Spain and Italy. These fish can get up to 15 feet long and weigh anywhere from 300 to 600 pounds!! 7. Silver Arowana In South America, there is a fish known as the Silver Arowana, and it's known to be quite a vicious predator. It has a leaping ability that is so good that they are able to jump out of the water in order to catch birds, insects, and even grab low-hanging snakes. Just as important though is that they do it with such speed and accuracy that their prey doesn't have time to react, ensuring that they get their meal. 6. Eel Catfish The Eel Catfish is another unique fish that has developed the ability to move onto land!! This fish is found in the muddy swamps of western Africa can grow 12-16 in long (30-40cm). What’s weird about them is that they love to eat beetles which are found on land! The fish has to be hungry enough to want to go through the effort but when it does, it propels itself onto the shore, raises up the front part of its body, and lunges at it with its jaws wide so it can bite down on the beetle. 5. Giant Trevally When BBC was filming their special "Blue Planet II", they were given a tip that there were fish eating birds off of the coast of the Seychelles. The fish that was doing this was one that had not been documented before as ever eating birds! The Giant Trevally fish. 4. Rainbow Trout When it comes to the Rainbow Trout, it already had a reputation for being an extraordinary fish. Mainly because of its fighting spirit and the ability it has to leap out of the water, but when a research team caught a very special Rainbow Trout on camera, they were shocked!! Inside the Rainbow Trout were about 20 shrews. 3. Sharks Sharks are one of the top predators in the ocean, and so you might think that they wouldn't even need to feast on land animals or birds in order to feed their hunger. But the fact of the matter is, when a shark is hungry, they are not going to be picky!! They're known for eating seals, sea lions, and other creatures that hover between land and sea, and for certain species like Tiger Sharks, they're perfectly fine with catching birds right out of the air. 2. Archer Fish When it comes to a creature of the water getting a creature on the land, or in the air, they usually have to develop a special technique. The Archer Fish preys on bugs and other small creatures that hover too close to the water. And with the Archer Fish, they have arguably gotten the most unique, and potentially epic, adaptation of all: the ability to shoot water like a bullet. 1. Orcas While Orcas are not fish, I had to include them on this list because they are very impressive apex predators!! These guys are known as Killer Whales for a reason and they have earned that title by killing creatures both in the water and on land. Origins Explained is the place to be to find all the answers to your questions, from mysterious events and unsolved mysteries to everything there is to know about the world and its amazing animals!

Why Sea Cucumbers Are Dangerous

Sea cucumbers are rather inconspicuous animals and are certainly not the most well-known sea creatures. They are nonetheless of enormous importance for the oceans and us humans. But don't get too excited because despite their harmless appearance they are actually not as safe to handle as one might think. In this video, you find out why. They have long, slim bodies; short limbs, a small tail and webbed paws. Sea Otters are closely related to land animals like..Weasels... Badgers... and Minks. But Sea Otters spend most of the time in cold water. That's why they have a really thick coat of fur. In fact, it's the thickest coat of ALL animals. Their fur lets absolutely no water through, just like a rain coat. Sea Otters love nothing better than to float on their backs and roll around. "Look at me. Hey Mum, Look at me! I can tumble". And... they love to play, and groom each other's coats. "Oh hello... how's your coat looking? Weeeee yes, yes looking good" Lying on the beach and chilling out... with a bit of head-scratching... is fun too. Did you know...? Sea Otters are one of the few animals that use tools. They use rocks to smash open sea molluscs. Isn't that clever. When Sea Otters rest, they lie together in a big group called a raft. And they hold hands so no one floats away. That's very cute! ----------------------- JUNGLE ANIMALS: Chameleons: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhroWoqbe9A Snakes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMn9En-MNM8 ----------------------- JUNGLE ANIMALS: Chameleons: http://bit.ly/1gCsPaC Snakes: http://bit.ly/1frKx0Q ----------------------- AFRICAN ANIMALS: Elephants: http://bit.ly/1nOBgcD Zebra: http://bit.ly/1hCGC1P Leopards: http://bit.ly/1krhhhU ----------------------- WATER ANIMALS: Sea Otters: http://bit.ly/1g7CyGT Sea Turtles: http://bit.ly/1dIn40B ----------------------- AUSTRALIAN ANIMALS: Platypus: http://bit.ly/1jLjDqL ----------------------- SNOW AND ICE ANIMALS: Penguins: http://bit.ly/1eZk3am Sea Lions: http://bit.ly/1pFip3o ----------------------- PET ANIMALS: Rabbits: http://bit.ly/P02wV5 ----------------------- FARM ANIMALS: Goats: http://bit.ly/1nVjeRZ Pigs: http://bit.ly/1kLgSBk Cows: http://bit.ly/QI9Ci4 ----------------------- AIR ANIMALS: Crane Bird: http://bit.ly/QZ2ldL ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- kindergarten, online kindergarten learning, kids learning, kindergarten learning videos, kindergarten learning words, learning for kindergarten, learning station, preschool activities, preschool learning, preschool learning videos, preschool music, kids preschool, learning for preschool, preschool learning activities, preschool learning songs, preschool videos learning ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stay connected with All Things Animal TV: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/allthingsani...
