Quick video from a real estate shoot over the weekend ... these are the bits that didn't make the final cut .... a slow twisting climb to around 100 feet above ground level and look around St Peters. Didn't advise air traffic i'd be above 100 feet so we kept it fairly low ..... can't wait to get up to the 400 foot level ... one day soon, one day soon!

Mermaid stamps and digital art images by Eric Whollem tell the story of the 'Portal of the Seasky' through which the mermaid ascends to higher dimensions. THE RAINBOW PORTAL The journey begins at the Rainbow Portal where the viewer is lead through the rainbow colors of a set of mermaid stamps entitled, 'The Portal of the Seasky.' The Seasky is an ancient concept that goes back at least as far as Sumeria where astrologers called the night sky an ocean. In Celtic philosophy the Seasky is called Emania, or Annwyn. The lore of the Wisdom Dakinis of Tibet might be recalled here. The Dakinis were called the Sky Walkers and said to live in lakes. They were represented by the colors of the rainbow. This lore might stem from ancient Chinese mythology where the heavens were referred to as Sky Lake. THE ABYSSOS In the second part of our journey the mermaid descends into the Abyssos, which is the ancient Greek name for the Sea. The Abyssos is featured in the Mysteries of Eleusis at Delphi, where it is said that Persephone descended in her mermaid form to the subterranean waters as part of her initiation. In Central Asia shamans were called Divers, and said to be able to descend to the waters of the underworld, as well as to the heavens. Persephone was depicted by Greek colonists in Italy as a mermaid with fish fins. As such she was probably conceived as a Nereid, or oceanic mermaid. The Naiads are the fresh water mermaids of the Greeks. They were prophetic spirits who dwelled at springs and subterranean waters. The Sirens who challenged Odysseus were Naiads, the daughters of Achelous, the River God. They were called 'the scourges of the Gods' by the Greeks. They were never malignant, except to violators of morality or offenders of the Gods. Odysseus was a hater of Athena and Poseidon and a black pirate. The story of Odysseus has been misinterpreted by many over the years. The Sirens are not vile seducers of men. They work to establish piety and harmony in the social order. My book, now out of print, entitled, 'The Mystery of the Mermaids: Goddesses and Gods of the Sea,' goes into these matters and others in greater depth. See my blog posts on INITIATION: http://artblogericwhollem.blogspot.com/search/label/initiation THE SEA ROYALTY Finally our journey takes us to a tribute to the Gods and Goddesses of the sea. A set of Amphoran stamps celebrating 'Sea Royalty,' is featured. THE STAMPS IN THIS VIDEO Amphora, one of my literary creations is posited as a continent of the future, the Aquarian Age. It is a magical land of many mermaid kingdoms, which include Amphitritonia, Delphys, Merreminde, and Undinia. Some of these latter kingdoms have videos of their stamps on my channel. The stamps seen here are faux postage stamps from The Empire of Amphora. Stamp collectors refer to this type of fantasy stamp by a variety of designations, including phantoms, cinderella stamps, cyberstamps, virtual stamps, etc. See more of my stamps from Amphora on my blog at http://artblogericwhollem.blogspot.com/search/label/amphora MUSIC Kevin MacLeod performs Pachelbel's Canon in D Minor. 5 Mega Tsunami Caught On Camera — Enjoy the video. Rate, Comment, Share... Thanx For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Tsunamis are giant waves caused by earthquakes or volcanic eruptions under the sea. Out in the depths of the ocean, tsunami waves do not dramatically increase in height. But as the waves travel inland, they build up to higher and higher heights as the depth of the ocean decreases. The speed of tsunami waves depends on ocean depth rather than the distance from the source of the wave. Tsunami waves may travel as fast as jet planes over deep waters, only slowing down when reaching shallow waters. While tsunamis are often referred to as tidal waves, this name is discouraged by oceanographers because tides have little to do with these giant waves. The 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami was triggered by a 9.3 magnitude earthquake with the initial surge wave of the tsunami measuring 33 metres. It was the largest earthquake-generated tsunami in history. Certain places in the world are subject to earthquakes and tsunamis more than others as there are only seven tectonic plates covering the earth and the borders of these plates lie in certain areas. Sir Edward Elgar - Sea Pictures, Song Cycle for Contralto & Orchestra (or piano), Op. 37 is a song cycle consisting of five songs: 1. Sea Slumber-Song, Poem by by Roden Noel 2. In Haven (Capri), Poem by Caroline Alice Elgar, the composer's wife 3. A Sabbath Morning at Sea, Poem by by Elizabeth Barrett Browning 4. Where Corals Lie, Poem by Richard Garnett 5. The Swimmer, Poem by Adam Lindsay Gordon The composer's Sea Pictures (1897-99) for contralto and large orchestra are based on some rather pedestrian verses which, nonetheless, Elgar manages to touch with magic. The songs range from the calm but brooding "Sea Slumber-Song" (Noel) to the fiercely exultant "A Sabbath Morning at Sea" (Browning), with the jewel-like "Where Corals Lie" (Garnett) nestled among all the grandeur. The music has a compelling sweep and sincerity that compares favorably with the sentimental miniatures perhaps more usually associated with the vocal music of Victorian England. It was set for contralto and orchestra, though a distinct version for piano was often performed by Elgar. Much of the vocal line of the first song, "Sea Slumber Song," is heard again in other parts of the cycle; most notably, the second stanza is heard again almost in its entirety as part of the finale. Elgar composed the piece on his 1844 Broadwood Square piano while residing at Birchwood Lodge, Great Storridge in Herefordshire. The songs were originally written in high keys for a soprano voice, but transposed to lower keys for the orchestral version, largely at the request of the contralto Clara Butt. The premiere was on 5 October 1899 at the Norfolk and Norwich Festival with Elgar himself conducting and Clara Butt singing, dressed as a mermaid. On 7 October, Clara Butt gave the first London performance at St. James's Hall, with Elgar at the piano. Nearly two weeks later, on 20 October, Butt performed it for Queen Victoria at Balmoral. 1. SEA SLUMBER SONG Sea-birds are asleep, The world forgets to weep, Sea murmurs her soft slumber-song On the shadowy sand Of this elfin land; "I, the Mother mild, Hush thee, O my child, Forget the voices wild! Hush thee Isles in elfin light Dream, the rocks and caves, Lull’d by whispering waves, Veil their marbles Foam glimmers faintly white Upon the shelly sand Of this elfin land; Sea-sound, like violins, To slumber woos and wins, I murmur my soft slumber-song, Leave woes, and wails, and sins, Ocean’s shadowy might Breathes good-night, Good-night… 2. IN HAVEN (CAPRI) Closely let me hold thy hand, Storms are sweeping sea and land; Love alone will stand. Closely cling, for waves beat fast, Foam-flakes cloud the hurrying blast; Love alone will last. Kiss my lips, and softly say: "Joy, sea-swept, may fade to-day; Love alone will stay. 3. SABBATH NORNING AT SEA The ship went on with solemn face; To meet the darkness on the deep, The solemn ship went onward. I bowed down weary in the place; For parting tears and present sleep Had weighed mine eyelids downward. The new sight, the new wondrous sight! The waters around me, turbulent, The skies, impassive o'er me, Calm in a moonless, sunless light, As glorified by even the intent Of holding the day glory! Love me, sweet friends, this Sabbath day. The sea sings round me while ye roll Afar the hymn, unaltered, And kneel, where once I knelt to pray, And bless me deeper in your soul Because your voice has faltered. And though this sabbath comes to me Without the stolèd minister, And chanting congregation, God's Spirit shall give comfort. He Who brooded soft on waters drear, Creator on creation. He shall assist me to look higher, Where keep the saints, with harp and song, An endless sabbath morning, And, on that sea commixed with fire, Oft drop their eyelids raised too long To the full Godhead's burning. 4. WHERE CORALS LIE The deeps have music soft and low When winds awake the airy spry, It lures me, lures me on to go And see the land where corals lie. By mount and mead, by lawn and rill, When night is deep, and moon is high, That music seeks and finds me still, And tells me where the corals lie. Yes, press my eyelids close, 'tis well, But far the rapid fancies fly To rolling worlds of wave and shell, And all the land where corals lie. Thy lips are like a sunset glow, Thy smile is like a morning sky, Yet leave me, leave me, let me go And see the land where corals lie. 5. THE SWIMMER With short, sharp, violent lights made vivid, To southward far as the sight can roam; Only the swirl of the surges livid, The seas that climb and the surfs that comb. Only the crag and the cliff to nor'ward, The rocks receding, and reefs flung forward, Waifs wrecked seaward and wasted shoreward On shallows sheeted with flaming foam. A grim, grey coast and a seaboard ghastly, And shores trod seldom by feet of men - Where the battered hull and the broken mast lie, They have lain embedded these long years ten. Love! when we wander'd here together, Hand in hand [...]

Sea Pictures Op.37 - Edward Elgar - Janet Baker Elgar (1857-1934) - Sea Pictures Programme notes by © Paul Serotsky: Hovering on the threshold of the Twentieth Century, the Sea Pictures were premiered in October 1899 by the legendary Clara Butt. Elgar's mastery of the Oratorio did not extend into the relatively intimate form of song. The fifty or so he wrote for voice and piano generally resulted from something more mundane than artistic imperative: it was, at the time, the “done thing”. And it was a “nice little earner”. Nevertheless, we can expect, and indeed do find, that this peerless oratorio composer brought to his songs the same sensitivity to textual implications and that, while his piano accompaniments were at best workmanlike, his use of orchestral resources in the Sea Pictures is well up with his considerable best. Even in 1899, the sea still largely represented the “Great Unknown”, navigable only in frail ships. Elgar's chosen texts often relate to the dichotomy of fear and fascination. Sometimes, when the singer represents humanity, as observer or participant, the orchestra will reflect the dispassionate deep, neither friend nor foe but something of both, almost synonymous with the “Hand of God”. It should go without saying that the following are my personal impressions only - yours may be very different! The five songs fall into a pattern: while the first apparently takes the sea's “viewpoint”, the second and fourth, and third and fifth form two pairs of opposing human sentiments. 1. Sea Slumber Song: The “Sea-Mother” lulls her fractious “child” to sleep, to an accompaniment kept appropriately light, gently rocking save for the second and last verses where deep, throbbing waves are suggested. 2. In Haven: To a feathery accompaniment, the voice sings of the transcendence of Love over blind elemental forces, Elgar's wife's tiny poem hinting that “together, we can face anything”. Elgar's articulation of the asymmetrical verse endings is miraculous. 3. Sabbath Morning at Sea: At the cycle's centre, we confront the Grand Mystery. Aboard a lonely vessel, the voice submissively contemplates first the contrast of untroubled sky and turbulent surface, then God, who created both Sea and Man. Elgar provides a suitably solemn treatment, with sombre treading and aspiring “nobilmente”. 4. Where Corals Lie: The singer is seduced away from mortal love by the pervasive lure of the sea (the “land where corals lie” is, of course, beneath the waves). The orchestra reflects the emotional undercurrents by veering between detached accompaniment and more entwined counterpoint. 5. The Swimmer: A lurid picture of the damage the savage sea does to men is juxtaposed with recollection of a past when the sea was a friendlier companion. The singer seems to conclude that Man has lost God's love, and reacts with a foolhardy challenge, obliquely similar to Waldemar's in Schoenberg's contemporaneous Gurrelieder, perhaps a startling sentiment for a traditionalist? Here Elgar unleashes his orchestra, even hurling in a tamtam (a rare gesture from him) at the crux of the final climax. *** A note on copyright. The images, taken in the coastal city of Qingdao in eastern China's Shandong Province, went viral on social media after a ferocious tempest blew through the town on Wednesday. The sea tornado fizzled out before making landfall on the coastal city of Qingdao China, but the marine creatures which had been whirling around in the storm cloud were suddenly spat out.Phenomena of this sort are not unprecedented, however, as examples of what scientists call the 'Rain of animals' exist throughout history.According to the Qingdao Meteorological Administration, violent weather was recorded in the late afternoon of Tuesday. In the pictures, an octopus and a starfish can be seen having stuck themselves to car windscreens.Other marine life to be swept ashore by the tempest included a starfish which stuck itself to another car.Seafood rain became a trending topic on social media after images were shared widely online. According to the city's meteorological service, the hurricane-force wind speeds generated during the storm set a new all-time record for June.Meterologists said the incident was probably caused by a tornado as it is common for tornados to suck up water and fish from rivers and drop them miles away.

Having images of an endless sea of galaxies, came racing through my mind one night in September 2011 and would be the major reason to begin researching and coming to the point in my awakening that night a few months later December-5-2011. Wondering how and why we are here and how are we even alive? Hopefully this will affect you in a similar manner. Good luck on your journey to enlightenment. Awaken Your Truth!

Every year we come across bizarre and strange sightings that have been picked up by the Google camera, and today we have a look at some of the stranger sights spotted by their satellites. Learn about the BIGGEST of everything Monday, Wednesday, and Friday just subscribe! 13 - Refreshes like nothing on earth… This giant Coca-Cola sign is visible from the air and was captured by Google earth in Chile. Sometimes referred to as maptervising, this giant logo was put in place to celebrate their 100th Anniversary. Whether this was the first time maptervising was used, I’m not sure – but we know of several companies who use giant adverts to advertise their products. The unique fact about this one though, is the sign is made from 70,000 empty Coke bottles. 12 - Free Hand… It looks like an intriguing piece of artwork, but it’s actually an aerial shot taken by Google Earth cameras. This one is located in the middle of the desert in China. Of course, speculations ran high as to what it could possible be. Some suggested underground testing facilities, while others thought it could be military runways. The truth wasn’t quite as exciting, but not bad anyway… they are roads used for test drills. 11 - Connect the dots… These are oil fields with connecting roads located in Rio Negro in Argentina. This is a spectacular image which we can thank Google Earth for! 10 - The dark knight rises… Over in Okinawa in Japan they have a very special sight that can only be viewed from above. It’s the Batman symbol, and you’ll have to fly over the roof top of the Air Force’s 44th Fighter Squadron. It’s not new though, and has been around since the 80’s… it’s only come to light recently thanks to Google Earth. 9 - Look closely… You’ll have to stretch your imagination for this one. A guy in Sweden truly believes that this obscure image from Google Earth is the real-life Nessie. 8 - Crawl back into your shell… You’ve probably heard of the massive Japanese Spider Crab, they’re literally enormous but they’re nowhere near the size of this crab that was spotted on Google earth. It’s earned the nickname Crabzilla, and is roughly 50-feet wise. It was spotted in Kent Harbour in the UK. Legit or not, I’ll let you decide. 7 - Stranger Things… The second season of Stranger Things sees an underground complex network of roots emerge. When I see this image that was captured by Google Earth, I think of that – and it leaves me feeling a little unsettled. 6 - All ears… We head to Alberta in Canada and meet the Badlands Guardian. This geological marvel looks like a man with a headdress wearing an earphone. It’s obviously not that, but rather a road and an oil well that have been installed on the site. If you go and view this image on Google Earth, and you scroll further to the left, you’ll spot another face which looks like someone is yawning and waking up from a deep sleep. 5 - Shrouded in mystery… Could this possibly be the remains of a pyramid that has not been excavated yet? Google Earth captured this image somewhere across Egypt, and reports suggest that due to the current economic situation in Egypt, they’ve limited the number of sites being excavated and researched. Others who have spotted this image believe it to just be a natural part of the landscape. I’m leaning towards pyramid, how about you? 4 - Blast from the past… In more ways than one! This is the world’s best-preserved meteorite on earth and it’s located a few minutes from Interstate 40 and Route 66. It's’ said an asteroid hit earth at 26,000 miles per hour 50,000 years ago and those are the remains! The crater is roughly 1 mile across, 2.4 miles in circumference and 550ft deep. You’re welcome to go and visit the site yourself! Its open to tourists! 3 - Hypnotising… These fields captured by Google Earth are seriously hypnotising, and remind me of a patchwork quilt. 2 - You decide… Sand banks? Aliens? Wake of water? Deep sea creature? No one seems to have legitimate answers, so if you can shed some light on that bizarre image captured on Google Earth, please share it with us down below!

WARNING: Personified Countries Pete is so adorable X3 I was trying to find a song that was innocent/cheerful enough to suit him, and since this song does bring up images of the sea, I chose it. Plus, I do love 5 cm per second and its soundtrack... DISCLAIMER: I do not own APH or the song. Axis Powers Hetalia and the character of Peter Kirkland is copyright Hidekaz Himaruya. I DO NOT OWN THE MUSIC OR THE IMAGES IN THE VIDEO. THEY ARE ALL PROPERTY OF THEIR OWNERS "The ripples in the sky and the waveless sea, deeper and deeper" I noticed that a couple of tracks from this album were missing on Youtube, and the full album as well, so I decided to upload it entirely. The tracklist here is not the same written on the CD but I think it's the correct division of the songs (anyway, who cares...it's drone) Drone/Dark ambient from USA, year 2003 1. A Painting 0:00 2. Life In D 17:22 3. Tepsije (All Music Is Folk Music) 23:51 4. Cutting, Opening, Swimming 32:13 5. Southern Wrights 38:54 6. Pavement Rich In Gold 44:00
