Eat more, eat the right foods, train hard, believe you can do it and most of all be consistent. To gain weight: 1. Set Goal Weight. Rule of thumb: 1kg for each cm above 1m. Check this table for example goal weights based on your height. 2. Eat Every 3 Hours. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, post workout and 2 snacks. Prepare your food in advance so you don’t skip meals. 3. Eat +5000 kcal/day. How much calories you need depends upon the individual. But 5000 kcal/day will make most hardgainers gain weight. 4. Track It. Track everything you eat so you have accurate feedback on your daily caloric intake. Eat +5000 kcal each day, no matter what. 5. Get Stronger. Increase your Squat to 1.5x your body-weight for at least 1 rep. With hips going lower than knees. 6. Track Results. Take pictures front/side/back, measure body fat using a fat caliper and weigh yourself every 2 weeks. Keep a training log. 7. Believe. You’re not a hardgainer. You were just not eating enough and eating the wrong foods. You’ll do it right this time. 8. Be Consistent. Eat 5000 kcal every single day and never skip workouts. Persist until you’ve achieved your goal weight. Best Foods to Gain Weight. Calorie dense foods are the best ones for weight gain. Here are some of the best foods your weight gain diet should include: 1. Whole Milk. Rich in proteins, saturated fats & carbs. Whole milk is the best food to gain weight fast. 2. Pasta is easier to eat than rice or oats. Although less healthy, white pasta is even easier to eat. 250G pasta equals 1000 kcal. 3. Mixed Nuts. Can be expensive but 500kcal/100g, lots of protein to build muscle and easy to take with you. Peanut butter also works. 4. Bananas. The only fruit that really works to gain weight is the banana. Is it better to bulk before cutting or is it better to cut before bulking. Does doing one before the other or doing them in a certain order speed up your progress? Well that's exactly what I'm gonna go over today...bulking vs cutting, and by the end of this video you'll know exactly which one to do first based on your goals. The decision of which one to do first is especially difficult on two groups of people beginners & people that would refer to themselves as skinny fat. As a totally new beginner the really amazing factor that you have on your side is a little something that we call newbie gains. Meaning it doesn't matter all that much what you do even if you're doing the wrong thing you'll probably lose a little bit of fat & add a little bit of muscle at the same time. Unfortunately this only applies to absolute beginners. Once you're no longer brand new you're going to have to pick one that you want to seriously focus & work on. If you've been working out for some time & you're skinny fat this choice can be tough because you don't have much muscle mass so you very quickly identify building muscle as a main goal. But, you have another problem, if you're skinny fat you have some body fat that you can't get rid of in those stubborn problem areas like your belly, your love handles, your chest, and your arms. Even though you may look completely fine in your clothes under those clothes you have stubborn fat that you want to reduce & probably eliminate altogether. So someone that's skinny fat will definitely have to decide whether they're going to bulk or cut first. When your goal is to bulk you're trying to build as much muscle as possible. On the other hand cutting is trying to burn as much fat as you can while sparring as much muscle mass as possible in the proccess. To differentiate further there are two opposite ways to bulk. You can do a clean bulk & a dirty bulk. Regardless of which way you choose to bulk, clean, or dirty they both require you to create a calorie surplus. When you put yourself into a calories surplus not only can you build muscle, but you can also gain fat. With a clean bulk your primary aim is to build muscle, but you want to do it in a way that minimizes the amount of body fat you gain in the process. So you'll typically be eating lean sources of protein like chicken breast & white fish, complex carbohydrates like brown rice & yams, & good sources of fats like avocados. Also your overall calorie surplus won't be too crazy high because that will also increase the chances of you putting on more fat. With a dirty bulk you pretty much don't care how much fat you gain in the process of bulking. Your main mission is to just build muscle. The fat you'll take care of after bulking up. Dirty bulks are very effective at building muscle, in fact they're probably one of the most effective things you can do to build muscle faster, but when you eat this way you can become much fatter throughout the process, which may not be a viable option if your skinny fat & you don't feel comfortable gaining any more body fat. I very rarely recommend that you do a dirty bulk at all, the only people that I recommend doing a dirty bulk to are people that are extreme hard gainers. These guys need to do everything they can to eat more & gain weight. A clean bulk is usually the best way to go & by cycling between enough proper clean bulks & enough cutting phases back & forth you should be able to get as lean & muscular as you want. So which do you do first. Well since you're looking to do both we should start with your body fat percentage to see which one you need more. The reason we focus on body fat is because the higher your body fat percentage is when you start the higher your body fat percentage will be when your done. Also with a higher body fat percentage in the beginning you'll have higher chances of storing more calories as fat throughout the process of bulking than someone that's much leaner. You'll store more if you start off at a higher body fat percentage because as body fat levels rise insulin sensitivity drops leading to insulin Resistance. Insulin is a hormone that you need to cooperate with your body in order to be effective at building muscle & to also be effective at burning fat. When you become insulin resistant your bodies fat burning ability decreases, the likelihood of gaining body fat increases, & protein

Gaining weight as a skinny person is not easy. It is frustrating to eat a lot but still not gain weight. One thing that skinny people do not know is that they have a fast metabolism which makes it hard for them to gain weight. A fast metabolism means that your body burns all the calories you eat. As a skinny person trying to gain weight, you have to eat a lot more than your metabolism can handle. Naturally, creating a caloric surplus in your body will make you gain weight. Probably you are skinny due to lack of knowledge of what it takes to gain weight. Below are top five tips that will help you gain weight: 5. Eat more food The leading trick to gain weight is to consume more calories than your body can burn. The mistake that most people do is to go by their feelings. Your metabolism could be much faster than you think. You need to know how much calories your body needs for you to gain weight. Keep track of everything you eat to know how much calories you consume every day. You might overestimate your calorie intake if you go with your feelings. In the first week, you will have difficulties eating all the required calories for you to gain weight. After maybe two weeks, your stomach will stretch and start getting hungry more often. 4. Track your progress Weigh yourself every week to check how you are progressing. Malnourished people will gain weight quickly in the first week due to increased bowel content and weight from the extra water as well. Continue eating the same if you gain weight; if you do not gain weight, you will have to keep adding more calories to your daily intake every week until you gain weight. You should note that the food that makes you gain the first 10kg will not make you gain the next 10kg. A skinny person with less muscle mass burns fewer calories than one with a bigger muscle mass. Thus, a person with no muscles will require fewer calories to gain weight as opposed to a more masculine person. 3. Eat more protein Protein is necessary for muscle building and recovery. The following are the best protein sources for gaining weight: whole eggs, chicken breast, tuna, cheese, and steaks. For you to build your body muscles, you will require at least 1g of proteins per 1lb of body-weight per day. However, you should have in mind that some people will not gain weight or muscles without gaining fat as well. 2. Eat more meals You have been eating little food for years. Thus your stomach is small. If you are required to take at least 1500 calories a day for you to gain weight, it will be easier if you take 300 calories in 5 meals than having 500 calories in 3 meals. Create yourself a bigger eating window. With eight sleeping hours, you are left with 16 hours to eat. Make a schedule of how you will have the five meals in those 16 hours. 1. Training Lifting weights is good for people trying to gain weight since it triggers the body to build muscle mass. If you do not train, the excess calories that do not burn will be stored as fat around your waistline. Your goal is to be muscular and not chubby. Therefore you will need to train. Remember, the more you train, the more calories you will burn and therefore the more calories you will require creating a caloric surplus.
